Nigel Farage Is Named A ‘Person Of Interest’ In The FBI’s Russia Investigation

Nigel Farage is reportedly being treated as a ‘person of interest’ in the FBI’s investigation into alleged links between Donald Trump’s campaign team and Russia.

The British politician and former leader of UKIP Nigel  Farage, reportedly came to the attention of investigators because of his connections to people associated with President Donald Trump and his personal links WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

“One of the things the intelligence investigators have been looking at is points of contact and people involved,” a source stated.

He’s right in the middle of these relationships. He turns up over and over again. There’s a lot of attention being paid to him.”

Being a ‘person of interest’ in the ongoing probe does not infer wrongdoing, and is used to describe people who have information that can assist an investigation.

However, the FBI declined to comment when contacted.

Mr. Farage dismissed the report, saying: “I don’t believe it. I have never been to Russia. I have never had any business dealings with Russia.”

In a statement, he described the report as ‘fake news’, claiming he laughed when as he read it.

“In response to the article, it has taken me a long time to finish reading because I am laughing so much,” Farage said in an interview on Thursday.

“This hysterical attempt to associate me with the Putin regime is a result of the liberal elite being unable to accept Brexit and the election of President Trump.”

Soon after he released this full statement:

“This is fake news. In response to the Guardian article, it has taken me a long time to finish reading because I am laughing so much.

This hysterical attempt to associate me with the Putin regime is a result of the liberal elite were unable to accept Brexit and the election of President Trump.

For the record, I have never been to Russia, I’ve had no business dealings with Russia in my previous life and I have appeared approximately three times on RT in the last 18 months.

I consider it extremely doubtful that I could not be a person of interest to the FBI as I have no connections to Russia.

My  meeting with Julian Assange was organized for me by LBC Radio with a view to conducting an interview.”
